Hollywood’s Hottest Leading Man to take starring role at Madame Tussauds London
Madame Tussauds London has confirmed that the next actor to be admitted into the attraction is the hottest celebrity of the moment, Brit born A-lister and star of the phenomenally successful Twilight saga, Robert Pattinson. The wax figure of the British heartthrob will be revealed in March, ahead of the release of his latest film, Remember Me, in early April.

The studios team is busy recreating R-Pattz’s trademark sultry expression and messy hair, whilst the figure’s outfit will reflect his rugged style with an open collared shirt and skinny trousers. The figure making process takes four months of intense work to complete at a cost of £150,000.

“Robert Pattinson is one of the hottest celebrities in the world and we have been inundated by requests to make him at Madame Tussauds London,” commented Liz Edwards, our PR Manager. “We are delighted that we’ll be able to give fans the chance to meet their idol and pose for pictures with him. They can even give him a kiss on the cheek which I’m sure will be a big hit with his female followers!”

Fans can cosy up with Pattinson in his own special VIP area in the exclusive A-list party area. The actor will be in good company as he joins a host of other top celebrities from screen superstars including Jonny Depp, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, to fashion icons like Kate Moss

New- Leona Lewis figure at madame Tussauds, London.
X Factor winner and superstar songstress, Leona Lewis, fulfils a childhood ambition as her new figure takes centre stage at Madame Tussauds London. The 24 year old multi-platinum selling star who was catapulted to international stardom after winning the X Factor in 2006, will join an A-list line up of music legends from Hendrix to Jackson in the attraction’s interactive Music Zone. She s portrayed clutching a microphone about to burst into song and guests are invited to get up close and personal and join the performance on stage. Looking every inch the glamorous diva, Leona wears a short sparkling silver dress set off by a pair of 5 inch satin stilettos. Her hair is casually tousled over her shoulders. The singer gave a sitting for the Madame Tussauds studios team where over 300 measurements and a catalogue of reference shots were taken. The figure took four months to create at a cost of £150,000.

Did You Know?
  • Madame Tussauds has been making wax figures for over 150 years. Each masterpiece takes four months, and a team of 20 dedicated sculptors, to create.  Over 500 precise body measurements are referenced and real head hairs are inserted one by one - all to achieve the kind of astonishing realism that has kept Madame Tussauds world renowned for over two centuries.

  • Some of Madame Tussauds’ original work and earliest relics are still on display in London, including the death masks she was forced to make during the French Revolution and the Guillotine that beheaded Marie Antoinette. The oldest figure on display is ‘Sleeping Beauty’, a breathing likeness of Louis XV’s sleeping mistress Madame du Barry sculpted in 1763.

For the brave, Madame Tussauds’ legendary Chamber of Horrors is more hair ‘n’ hell-raising than ever before, thanks to horrific new live fear experience Scream bringing you face-to-face with scary serial killers. After a sneaky behind-the-scenes look at the history of Madame Tussauds and how our World-renowned sculptors create the figures, relax in our taxis and relive the rich history of London.
